What makes our classes special?
Personalized attention: Enjoy an intimate group setting of no more than six participants, providing space to connect deeply and explore the material in a safe, supportive environment.
A spacious learning approach: Unlike weekend-style intensives that can lead to information overload, our People and Animal Reiki classes—whether in-person and remotely—include over 12 hours of instruction presented in shorter sessions over multiple weeks. This format supports integration, reflection, and confident practice.
Proven, community-based learning: Our multi-week structure is based on our own experience and analysis of the the reviews of thousands of students worldwide engaged in similar programs. Many speak to the benefits of training that allows time between sessions, opportunities to ask questions, connection with a compassionate learning community and practice time to gain confidence.
Integrity and lineage: Integrity is a core value at Kindred Lights Healing Arts. We teach as close to the original roots of the traditional Usui Ryoho Reiki system as possible, aligned with current Reiki scholarship, spiritual awareness and respect for historic and cultural context. Consequently, our people or animal Reiki courses do not include chakra work, crystals, mediumship, or angel communication, although we value and respect these other energetic modalities.
Guided by experience, grounded in equality: Your facilitator is an experienced, certified Reiki teacher and practitioner (trained through the International House of Reiki and Kathleen Prasad’s Let Animals Lead® system). Our approach honors the truth that we are all soul travelers—each bringing wisdom, insight, and presence to the circle.

Calling All Non-Profit Animal Caretakers & Animal Care Non-Profits!
Do you work or volunteer at an animal caretaking non-profit?
We offer a limited number of full and partial scholarships for onsite & online level I (Shoden) Animal Reiki Certification classes. You must be an animal caretaker working or volunteering at least part-time in a non-profit animal shelter, rehab or captive wildlife environment to qualify

Bring animal reiki training to your shelter!
We partner with nonprofit animal shelters, rescues, sanctuaries and other animal caregiving organizations to offer onsite Level 1 (Shoden) and Level II (Okuden) Animal Reiki classes for staff, volunteers, and the public. In exchange for holding the class at your facility, staff pay a small materials fee, and volunteers receive significantly discounted pricing.
We also donate our instruction time & 25% of all proceeds to the shelter!
Our classes follow the SARA (Shelter Animal Reiki Association) approach, supporting the wellbeing of animals and caregivers alike.
