Animal Reiki Class Offerings

The Let Animals Lead Method® (LAL) is a unique, animal-focused internationally recognized Reiki system that promotes animal agency, recognizing animals as spiritual teachers and equal partners in the healing process. LAL holds CPD Accreditation and the prestigious Trainer of Excellence status. It is also endorsed by the Canadian Reiki Association (CRA) as the ethical Gold Standard in Animal Reiki education and practice.
Learn to facilitate trust and safety, establishing an authentic, compassionate and humble presence through traditional mediative practices and tools that honor the animals' sensitivity and boundaries.
More than a course in techniques, the Let Animals Lead method of animal Reiki is a transformative exploration that let’s you see past what seems broken, to the unique perfection within each animal, providing a pathway to their wellbeing (and yours!)

Foundations - In keeping with the traditional roots of Usui Reiki Ryōhō and the Let Animals Lead® method, none of our people or animal Reiki courses include chakra work, crystals, mediumship, or angel communication, although we acknowledge and respect these modalities within other energetic healing methods.

Attendance - As each session builds on the last, attendance at all class sessions is required for each course to receive your certificate. Please take a moment to review your schedule and ensure you’re able to join us for all dates before registering. Under special circumstances and based on your instructor's availability, you may be able to schedule a make up session (online) for a $75.00 fee.

Deposit & Cancellation Policy
As class sizes are intentionally kept small to enhance your learning and experience, a $75.00 non-refundable deposit is required for all reiki classes to hold your spot. Final payments are due one week prior to the first day of class. CANCELLATION POLICY: If your plans change, you may cancel your registration and request a refund (minus the deposit) up to one week before the course begins. After that time, refunds are not available for missed courses or individual class sessions. If the course is canceled by the instructor before the start date, you will receive a full refund, including your deposit. In the event of an unexpected emergency that requires a class session to be canceled, every effort will be made to reschedule. If rescheduling isn’t possible, a voucher for an online session may be offered as an alternative. Thank you for your understanding and for honoring the time, preparation, and care that go into creating this experience.

Shoden | Level 1

The Let Animals Lead Method® of Animal Reiki is a unique, animal-centered, internationally recognized Reiki system that honors animal agency and recognizes animals as spiritual teachers and equal partners in the healing process. Through traditional meditation practices and supportive tools, practitioners cultivate trust and safety by bringing an authentic, compassionate, and humble presence that respects each animal’s sensitivity and boundaries. More than a course in techniques, Let Animals Lead Animal Reiki is a transformative exploration that invites you to see beyond what may seem broken and recognize the unique perfection within each animal—offering a pathway to wellbeing for them and for you. WHAT WE'LL EXPLORE IN LEVEL I: •Traditional Shoden (Level 1) Japanese Reiki practices, including the three energy centers and how to connect with them for greater balance, calm, and joy. •Mindful, heart-centered ways to connect with your own animals, other animals, and the people in your life. •Gentle ways to support animals experiencing physical or emotional distress while honoring their free choice and agency without force or pressure. •How to share Reiki space with animals in a way that builds trust, encourages deep rest, and supports wellbeing. •When physical contact is ethically appropriate during an Animal Reiki session, and when it is not. •The Animal Reiki practitioner’s code of ethics and your role within the Reiki community. YOUR COURSE INCLUDES: •12 hours of training over five weeks. •Guided meditations and supplemental written materials. •Daily practice assignments and weekly homework. •Four Shoden spiritual blessings/initiations, called Reiju. •Six weeks of follow-up emails. •A 250-page manual/workbook and supplemental materials. •A certificate of completion and prerequisite for Okuden (Level 2). •An official Seal of Certification. •An invitation to join SARA as a Practitioner member. TO RECEIVE YOUR CERTIFICATE: •Attend all sessions •Complete and submit or be prepared to discuss weekly homework assignments. •Engage in regular practice with animals during the course. •Commit to 10–20 minutes of daily meditation practice.

Okuden| Level 2
Are you ready to deepen your animal Reiki practice—building on Shoden to awaken unshakable confidence as a steady, loving presence for the animals you serve, whether personally or professionally?
Okuden calls when you're ready to release doubt and embrace sacred trust—in Reiki energy, your intuition, and animals as your wise teachers and guides. This level deepens your meditative awareness from Shoden while strengthening your calm presence through life's busyness, animal challenges, and those fleeting moments of stillness. Highlights of what you’ll learn, do and explore: •Refresh Level 1 learning to deepen understanding or restart after a break—nuances reveal themselves anew on your journey, even if you have already taken Level II and are looking for a way to go deeper or develop a more embodied practice. •Learn three Usui Ryoho symbols and mantras and how they guide and support you in all aspects of your life, as well as helping you be a calming, trusted presence for animals so they feel free to engage (or not) in a Reiki session. •Receive three Reiju (attunements). •Cultivate a trauma-informed presence for the animals you serve, even those that are the most fearful or challenged, regardless of the setting or your proximity to them. •Expand healing to include caregivers and family members, supporting collective wellbeing. •Step into ethical practice for professional, volunteer, or personal service. Your course includes: •12 hours of training over five weeks, with the possibility of one of the sessions being a field trip to work with animals in shelters, captivity or in the wild. •Guided meditations and supplemental written materials. •Daily practice assignments and weekly homework. •Six weeks of follow-up emails to support your ongoing practice. •A 250-page manual/workbook and supplemental materials. •A certificate of completion and satisfaction of one prerequisite for Shinpiden (Level 3). •An official Seal of Certification and an invitation to join SARA as a professional member.
Prerequisites:

Completion of Shoden Level I, The Let Animals Lead Method® of Animal Reiki at least four months prior to Level II training, or permission of instructor.

Three journal entries (any length) reflecting 21 days of self-practice before the course, completed anytime after your Animal Reiki level I training. If you are starting the 21-day practice prior to the start of the course, your final entry may be submitted during the first week of class.
